BAMBINO RULES AS PER BAMBINO KART CLUB

Comer C50 Bambino (With Permission Of Darren Beavers)

1.1 The Bambino class is the entry level class of Kart racing meaning

drivers can compete from 5.5 years old. These rules and regulations

should help you understand the Bambino classes before entering into

your first race. Full class, chassis & engine regulations for all the

BKC classes mirror those of the UK governing body unless specially

stated below, these class regulations regarding engines and chassis

should be read thoroughly. If in any doubt an official email with

queries should be raised.

Age 6-8yrs.If the driver has attended Rookie and passed to advanced

standard the age is reduced to 5.5 years.

1.2 Chassis

All chassis’ must be recognised and registered with the UK governing body,

no homemade chassis are permitted. Chassis may be fitted with a barcode

sticker in scrutineering for identification purposes.

1.3 Added Requirements

1.3.1 Bodywork: As registered with the chassis, full width rear bumpers

mandatory. Plastic alternative may be used if registered with chassis. Rear

bumpers must not be wider than overall wheel width. Full size rear number

boards only to be used( no cut down plates) unless plastic rear bumper is

registered and fitted to chassis where a stick-on type number can be

applied to the rear bumper.

1.3.1.1. Front top loop must be tight but can have rubber washers between

chassis mount and loop.

1.3.2 Brakes: As registered with chassis, steel discs non vented only (can

be cross drilled and grooved).

1.3.3 Steering: Stub axles: no modification whatsoever permitted, only

standard as manufactured can be used.

Steering wheel: free. If mounting data acquisition equipment must be

mounted in line with the dish of the wheel. All columns to be fitted with a

security ring located below the top column mount and secured with a minimum

of two locked grub screws. Caster/Camber adjustment is NOT PERMITTED on

Comer C50.

1.3.4 Axle: As registered with the chassis. 25mm magnetic steel. Must have

circlips fitted on both ends. Axle to be fitted with two bearings

containing steel ball races…. Ceramic or exotic material bearing faces arestrictly prohibited. Bearings to be tightened to axle, multipoint locating

grub screws. Quick release bearing carriers prohibited. Solid, 5mm & 3mm

hollow axles are permitted but only if registered with chassis.

1.3.5 Gearing: Comer C50 is only permitted to run 10t front sprocket & 80t

rear sprocket.

1.3.6 Dimensions: The rear bumper must not exceed the overall width

measured to the outside edge of the rear tyres & the side pods may not be

located outside the plane that passes through the outer edge of the rear

tyres.

The maximum overall width at the rear is 1100mm.

1.3.7 Chain/Sprocket Guard: One piece chain with sprockets of 219 pitch

only. A fully enclosed chain guard or a type manufactured by Tillet or

similar.

1.3.8 Wheels: Fronts: Aluminium, single point mounting direct to stub axle.

3 point fixing front hubs permitted.

Offset: Open.

Rears: Aluminium, 3 point fixing to standard short hub. No double bolt rear

hubs offset. Standard wheels sizes are free.

1.3.9 Tyres: (Filled with standard air only) _ Comer C50 class Le-Cont all

weather MSA04

The use of tyre warmers and softener is prohibited. Removal of Debris or

tyre cleaning with hot air gun or rasp is Strictly Prohibited.

1.3.10 Floor Tray: Aluminium, original manufacturer or professional

manufactured aftermarket component may be used fitted using manufacturer

approved fitting kit and must always be tight. CARBON FIBRE trays are not

permitted.

1.3.11 Seat: Free: Must be free of holes in a position to weaken the

mounting. Must have one large washer min 25mm at each mounting point to

ensure the load is spread. Seat must always be tight. Additional seat stays

and supports are not permitted.

1.3.12 Weight: Minimum 71kg post-race including the driver and mandatory

safety equipment

1.3.13 Number plates: Numbers to be displayed on all four sides. Black on

Orange back ground. Full size number plates to be fitted the rear.NO CUT

DOWN PLATES.

1.3.14 Materials: Karts and Components to be of material as per factory or

similar the use of aftermarket components such as rear hubs carriers, track

rods are permitted if to manufacturer’s specification.

Carbon fibre, Ceramic, Titanium, Magnesium & Kevlar components are

prohibitedModification to chassis in any way by the addition of welded components not

of the original approval is not permitted.

1.3.15 Other: The addition of pedal extensions, heal cups or approved pedal

box is permitted subject to scrutineering deeming it is fit for purpose.

ENGINE:

1.4 The following are requirements/modification to the fiche that must be

implemented to run in THE FULBECK SPRINT SERIES FOR 2022.

1.4.1 General: Only 2 engines are allowed per meeting. These must be

recorded on your scrutineering card. Engines and components may be sealed

at any point. The use of controlled restrictors supplied by Zip Karts may

be implemented once fitted these can be tampered within any way, the

scrutineers may choose to fit special bolts to enable seals to be fitted at

any time . Any controlled component must be returned in good condition at

the end of the meeting.

1.4.2 Comer C50 engine specification :-

Only Tagged Zip kart regulation UK or GB Comer C50 engines permitted.

Engines must always comply with the governing bodies regulations/fiche.

Carburettor jetting is open.

Plugs Champion RCJ7Y, Bosch WS5F ,NGK BPMR7A (NO BOSCH GREEN PLUGS

PERMITTED)the standard washer must be present and fully intact unless using

a under plug temp probe.

One foam air cleaner of standard specification is to be present at all

times and must be kept clean and dry used in its intended form. No holes or

tears. The metal clip that holds the air box onto the carb must always be

present. In the event of a wet race the sponge may be replaced for every

heat/final. The approved Zip kart wet box may run if the meeting is

declared wet or open.

1.4.3 Clutch:C50 approved spring or solid one-piece clutch approved by Zip

Kart is permitted.

1.5 Comer C50G: To comply with Euro Environmental Regulations a new

specification engine will be available called C50 Green(C50G) identified by

a green cylinder and crankcase seals and new parts in the UK homologation

fiche. The C50G package of cylinder, piston, crankshaft and exhaust can be

fitted to existing C50 engines. All 4 C50G components must be used with the

exception that the C50G exhaust may be fitted to the C50 on its own.C50

crankcase must be fitted with a minimum 1.00mm base gasket.C50G crankshaft

base gaskets are free.C50G engine identified by green seals cannot be

fitted with C50 spec cylinder ,piston, crankshaft and exhaust.

1.5.1 Timing: C50 & C50G engine must comply to a maximum ignition timing of

4.9mm before top dead centre measured with a DTI gauge. See homologation

fiche for measurement alignment point. The fly wheel key can be modified to

achieve maximum timing.CLASS REGULATIONS IAME BAMBINO

nose cone to be fitted to a bambino chassis if approved by the BKC on

safety grounds providing the part is specific to manufacturers usual

registered bodywork, e.g KG with KG, OTK with OTK etc. The nose cone must

be securely fastened using the specified clips/fasteners, the use of a drop

down block is not permitted.

2.3.2. Brakes: As registered with chassis, steel discs non vented only (can

be cross drilled and grooved)

2.3.3: Steering: Stub axles: no modification whatsoever permitted, only

standard as manufactured can be used. Steering wheel: free. If mounting

data acquisition equipment must be mounted in line with the dish of the

wheel. All columns to be fitted with a security ring located below the top

column mount and secured with a minimum of two locked grub screws.

Castor/camber adjustment is permitted to the front axle by the addition of

top pills only.

2.3.4 Axle: As registered with the chassis. 25 mm magnetic steel. Must have

circlips fitted on both ends. Axle to be fitted with two bearings

containing steel ball races. Ceramic or exotic material bearing face are

strictly prohibited.

Bearings to be tightened to axle, multipoint locating grub screws. Quick

release bearing carriers are prohibited. Solid 5mm & 3mm thick hollow axles

are permitted but only if registered with chassis.

2.3.5 Gearing;

Iame gearing as per track regulations, no teeth to be added or removed from

sprockets.

FULBECK Iame M1 using 11t clutch drum 11-79/80/81 only.

FULBECK Iame M1 using 10t clutch drum 10-73/74/75 only.Iame M1 to run gearing stated by club only, rear sprocket must match front

clutch drum as stated above.

2.3.6 Dimensions: The rear bumper must not exceed the overall width

measured to the outside edge of the rear tyres, and the side pods may not

be located outside the plane that passes through the outer edge of the rear

tyres.

The maximum overall width at the rear is 1100mm.

2.3.7 Chain/Sprocket Guard: One piece chain with sprockets of 219 pitch

only. A fully enclosed chain guard, of a type manufactured by Tillet or

similar.

2.3.8 Wheels: Fronts: Aluminium, single point mounting direct to stub axle.

3 point fixing front hubs permitted.

Offset: open.

Rears; Aluminium, 3 point fixing to standard short hub. No double bolt rear

hubs Offset: Standard. Wheel sizes are: free.

2.3.9 Tyres: (Filled with standard air only). Heidenau T-Race Green Slick

tyre and Heidenau WH1 Wet tyre. The use of tyre warmers and softener is

prohibited. Removal of Debris or tyre cleaning with a hot air gun or rasp

is strictly prohibited at all times once racing has started.

2.3.10 Floor Tray: Aluminium, original manufacturer component fitted using

manufacturer approved fitting kit and to be always tight. After market

professionally manufactured aluminium floor trays allowed but NO carbon

trays permitted.

2.3.11 Seat: Free: Must be free of holes in a position to weaken the

mounting. Fitted with a Tillet or similar fitting kit one large washer per

hole minimum , to ensure load spread. Seat must be tightly always secured.

2.3.12 Weight: minimum 78kg postrace including driver and all race gear.

2.3.13 Number Plates: Numbers to be displayed on all four sides of the kart

Black on Green background to an agreed font/pattern, numbers can be

purchased from the BKC in the approved format. Full size number plates on

rear to be fitted, no cut down plates.

2.3.14 Materials: Kart and components to be of material ‘as left the

factory’ or similar, the use of aftermarket components such as rear hubs,

carriers, track rods are permitted if are of manufacturers specification.

Carbon Fibre, Ceramic, Titanium, Magnesium and Kevlar components are

prohibited. Modification to chassis in any way by the addition of welded

components not of the original approval is not permitted. Additional seat

stays and supports are not permitted.

2.315 Other: The addition od pedal extensions, heal cups or a BLC approved

pedal box is permitted subject to secure fitment and scrutineering deeming

it fit for purpose. Modification to tubing, seat stay, yokes and all

mounting points is strictly prohibited.2.4 Engine: Always regularly check the class engine fiche for updates.

The following are requirements/modifications to the fiche that must be

implemented to run in the BKC for 2022

2.4.1 Only 2 engines are allowed per meeting, these must be recorded on

your scrutineering card, engines and components may be sealed at any point,

the use of controlled restrictors may be implemented and once fitted these

cannot be tampered with in any way, the scrutineer may choose to fit

special bolts to enable seals to be fitted at any time. Any controlled

components given MUST be returned in good condition after the meeting

before championship points will be awarded.

2.4.2 Iame M1 BAMBINO ENGINE SPECIFICATION;

The engine carburettor must always operate in its unadulterated form and

conform to the JM Engineering fiche and any BKC updates available here.

2.4.3 Engine numbers and crank: only engine numbers prefixed S6,T6,V6,Z6

and O6 are permitted. Only crack shafts from batch number E31 forward are

permitted.

2.4.4 Squish: 2mm minimum. Base gaskets and shim combinations can be used

to achieve the desired squish but a combination of no more than two paper

gaskets and three metal shims permitted. Squish is measured using 3.175 mm

solder.

2.4.5 Spark Plugs: Only NGK BR8EG, BR9EG, & BR10EG are permitted.

These must carry the original factory washer unless using an under-plug

temperature lead of the same thickness, in which case it may be discarded.

The scrutineer will have the final say on what under-plug temp. leads are

permitted or not.

2.4.6 Exhaust System: System and joint to be leak free in its entirety.

Signs of leakage around the restrictor/fixing area or welds will be deemed

a performance enhancement, it is the competitors responsibility to ensure

exhaust bolts are always tight. Only one exhaust gasket front and back of

the restrictor is permitted. Exhaust restrictor is to be no more than

13.5mm max and must be of genuine stamped and marked Iame specification,

the club reserves the right to provide pooled restrictors at any event they

feel necessary. If a pooled restrictor is issued this CANNOT be modified in

any way shape or form, the cleaning or tampering with pooled restrictors is

prohibited and could result in an exclusion from a race or the meeting.

2.4.7 Clutch: The internal components and running surface both the clutch

and drum must remain dry and free of grease and lubricant and any

additional substance. It is advised to run the standard rubber O ring

washer behind the clutch drum although not essential, care should be taken

at all times to ensure the clutch bearing is not being over lubricated to

ensure running surface remains dry and free of any substances at all times.2.4.8 Fuel System; One inline fuel filter is permitted of a sealed

renewable type or plastic Tillotson two piece reusable filter.

2.4.9 Oil: Only silkolene Pro KR2 oil is permitted.

2.4.10 Data: The collection of engine data is permitted through means of a

mychron/alfano or similar, and under-plug exhaust temp probe is allowed in

all classes but exhaust temp or EGT/CHT is not permitted. Minimum thickness

for temp probe washer under-plug is 1.4mm unless confirmed ok by the

scrutineer.

2.4.11Wet weather running; it is permissible when racing/operating in wet

or open meeting conditions only, declared wet or open for BKC approved wet

box to be fitted. This is the only form of wet box permitted and must be

installed as per instructions in a way as to prevent water ingestion to the

motor and not limit air flow and cooling to the engine. Further to the

approved wet box a flat plastic plate may be applied to the 2 chassis rails

directly under the carburettor only and must not be greater than

22cmx22cmx0.5cm.

2.4.12 Replacement Parts: Any replacement parts required in the service and

repair of the motor must be original manufacture components or IAME UK

approved. No pattern or other components accepted.

2.4.13 Cleaning of Components; Cleaning components such as exhaust

restrictor must only be done using a nonabrasive cloth as specified by IAME

U.K. The cleaning of BKC controlled exhaust restrictor is prohibited.

2.4.14 Stock Class; Any modification to engine and carburettor beyond the

scope of IAME UK fiche or this document is forbidden. Strictly no

modification, adding or removing materials, tuning, porting, polishing,

surface coating, painting, skimming, trimming, grinding or shielding fro

whatever purpose is permitted.

Rebel Racing Series 

2025 Rules and Regulations

General

Where appropriate general Motorsport rules will apply. These may be

changed, varied or amended to suit FSS at the discretion of

the C.o.C and or the organisers with consultation with the

competitors. If a change is made adequate notice will be given

so that Drivers/Mechanics and Teams can make changes to comply

with the new rules and regulations. Any changes will be

notified by official email and on Facebook .The official

wording will be on Rebel racing  Website (Please CHECK).Matters of

safety will take immediate effect.

3/All drivers must have signed on to practise or race BY 12

noon on FRIDAY VIA ALPHA TIMING. Entry fee is £110.00 for both

days. Saturday Practise is £60.00 or Sunday race is £60.00. No

email, telephone, text entries or entries on the day will be

accepted The club reserve the right to refuse entries.

4/Drivers racing in more than one class must pay for each

class. The club will try to leave time between sessions where

a driver is in 2 classes if they verbally inform the secretary

of the meeting before 12 noon on Saturday.

5/Drivers under 18 years must have their online entry

countersigned by a parent or guardian who must be present for

the complete meeting.

6/By signing on, all competitors, parents/guardians understand

and accept all risks involved at a practice or race day. It is

also the responsibility of the competitor to explain the risk

involved to anyone associated with them. (IF IN DOUBT PLEASE

SEE AN OFFICIAL).7/Grid positions will be determined by random grid or T.Q.

dependant on class. The club reserves the right to amalgamate

classes with the fastest at the front. All karts will start on

the same lights. Where time permits classes with a minimum of

8 entries will get their own race.

8/Race format will be either: – laps or time plus a lap

(duration to be determined on the day). Timed qualifying will

be used from April to Oct. TQ will give grid position for heat

1 and points towards the grid for the final grid. Finishing

position in heat 1 will give grid position for heat 2.Random

grids will be used for February, March and November meeting

due to reduced daylight available and will consist of two

Heats and a final.

9/Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and away from the

track and any fouling must be cleaned up. Failure to do so

will result in a ban from the circuit.

10/Any driver under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not

be permitted to race. If you sign on we have the right to ask

for you to be breathalysed or drug tested. A refusal will

result in not been allowed to participate in the meeting.

11/All new starters must inform the competition secretary that

they are a new starter (Novice) and must display novice plates

and will start at the back of the grid FOR THEIR FIRST 3

MEETINGS FOR RANDON GRIDS, OR TQ THE POSITION THEY HAVE

OBTAINED ON TRACK until the CoC considers they are competent

to race from a predetermined grid. Failure to inform the

secretary may result in exclusion from the meeting

12/The driver is responsible for the actions of his/her

mechanics and anyone associated with him/her. Anyone being

abusive, using foul language or threatening behaviour will be

asked to leave the premises and the associated driver may be

excluded from the meeting and may be asked to appear in front

of the organisers who have the rights to impose a ban and

inform other circuits. REBEL RACING  SERIES ARE PART OF

RESPECT IN RACING POLICY

13/Children must be supervised at all times. Scooters,

e-scooters, bikes and ball games are not permitted anywhere

within the paddock FOR THE DURATION OF THE MEETING. The

organisers reserve the right to confiscate equipment until the

end of the meeting.14/It is your responsibility to ensure your awnings are

securely fastened down and please consider your neighbours

when positioning your generator. All generators must be turned

off by 11.00pm.

15/Proof of age:- A false declaration of date of birth on

your online profile will result in an immediate exclusion for

the current year.

16/Once the meeting has started if you cannot continue please

inform the comp secretary so grids can be reconfigured.

1/All karts and protective equipment including suits, helmets,

gloves and footwear may be inspected before practice

commences. All helmets must comply with one of the following

specifications.

CMR2007. CMR2016.CMS2007 CMS2016.K2020.K2010.SA2010.

SAH2010.SA2015.SA2020.K2015All karts and equipment WILL be scrutineered before commencing

racing. Number plates must be fitted front, rear and both

sides and must be kept in good condition. You must also

display the correct number and coloured plate for your class.

UNLESS YOU ARE A NOVICE PLEASE DON’T DISPLAY NOVICE PLATES ALL

NOVICES WILL BE OFF THE BACK OF THE GRID FOR RANDOM GRIDS.

2/Drivers must ensure that helmets and race suits are fully

fastened and visors must be down at all times whilst on

circuit, any long hair must be inside your protective

clothing.

3/One driver, one mechanic only allowed on the grid. Once your

kart is on the grid only tyre pressures may be changed, unless

instructed by the Clerk or grid marshal. If you are not in

position by the last lap of the race on circuit you will be

put to the back of the grid. It is not permitted to eat,

drink, smoke or vape on the dummy grid or parc-ferme.1 driver

and 1 mechanic only in parc-ferme unless directed by the

Scrutineer or other officials. Breaking this rule may get your

driver excluded from that heat.

4/Drivers must without delay obey all flags given by

officials. Drivers are responsible for learning all flags and

their meanings before going out on circuit. If you are in

doubt please ask before racing. Parents and guardians are

responsible to ensure their young drivers know the meaning of

all flags. This particularly applies to bambinos and cadets

and more unusual flags such as quarters, change of surface and

white flag. Ignoring flags through lack of knowledge will not

be accepted as a defence and appropriate penalties will be

applied. TQ if you leave the circuit you will not be permitted

to re-join.

5/MARSHALS WILL NOT LEAVE THEIR POST unless instructed by the

clerk to assist drivers. This is for safety reasons and your

own wellbeing as they are required to observe at all times.

6/The timing tower is out of bounds during a race weekend

unless invited. Failure to observe this rule may result in an

exclusion for the associated driver.

7/During racing the centre of the track is out of bounds

except for officials. Signed on Bambino parents or guardians

are permitted at the discretion of the C.O.C and must wear anORANGE high Vis vest and must sign on in race control before

entering the circuit.

8/ Timing or coaching of drivers is not permitted from the

centre of the track. Failure to comply WILL result in an

exclusion from heat/final and will not be allowed back on

track for the day.

9/No radio communication is allowed on race day to any driver

on the circuit.

10/Recovery of karts from track is not permitted during racing

and will be allowed at the end of the race at the discretion

of the clerk.

11/Tyre warming is not permitted on the dummy grid and on

track grid for standing starts for bambinos. REAR WHEELS ARE

NOT PERMITTED TO BE LIFTED OFF THE GROUND, FAILURE TO COMPLY

WILL RESULT IN REMOVAL FROM THE GRID. Aggressive tyre warming on

the rolling lap is not allowed, 5 second penalty will be

imposed. Only bambino and cadet classes will officials attempt

an in race restart and only when deemed safe to do so. This

may mean a delay, waiting for a safe moment. Assistance to

restart direct drive karts will only be given if it is safe to

do so or karts are in a dangerous position.

Driving Standards

1/If a driver leaves the circuit they must re-join when it is

safe to do so. Failure to comply will result in a penalty at

the discretion of the CoC.

2/Unless you are waved through by an official missing either

chicane will result in a 10 second penalty, missing the

chicanes twice in the same heat/final will result in a 20

second penalty MISSING THE CHICANE 3 times in the same

heat/final will result in a black flag. Any driver missing the

chicane must re-join safely, further penalties will be applied

if the re-join is deemed unsafe and/or if it is deemed an

advantage is attempted. (LAPSCORING/TIME KEEPER & STARTER WILL

BE JUDGE OF FACT). Anyone persistently missing the chicane on

test days will not be allowed out in the following session.

You may only miss the chicane should an incident occur where

the track is blocked IF DIRECTED BY AN OFFICIAL, for any other

reason the above penalty applies.3/Passing under a stationary yellow flag will result in a 10

second penalty. Passing under a waved yellow WILL RESULT IN A

20 SECOND PENALTY WITH NO APPEAL.PASSING 2 WAVED YELLOWS WILL

RESULT IN A BLACK FLAG.GIVING THE PLACE BACK WILL HAVE NO

AFFECT ON THE PENALTY. Quarter flags may be displayed during a

race. The lead kart must act as a pace kart and reduce speed

to half race speed. All following karts must also reduce speed

to half race speed. NO OVERTAKING. Karts will be allowed to

get into close formation in a safe manner. Excessive speeding

to catch up the kart in front will not be tolerated and could

receive a 20 second penalty, at the discretion of the clerk.

The timekeeper will be judge of fact over speeding under

quarter flags. This will be non-appealable. OVERTAKING UNDER

QUARTER FLAGS CARRIES THE SAME PENALTY AS WAVED YELLOWS.

The restart of a race will be to the race leader by a green

flag displayed on the start line. No overtaking until you pass

the start line.

4/ When a race has finished a yellow flag will be shown at all

posts. Racing must cease when you have taken the chequered

flag. Drivers must slow to a steady pace. DO NOT overtake on

the return to parc ferme /Pit Lane. Drivers not obeying this

rule and who continue to drive at excess speed will RECEIVE A

10 SECOND PENALTY and further action may be taken by the

clerk.

5/Any kart causing a red flag incident may only take part in

the restart after being inspected by the scrutineer and at the

discretion of the clerk. Any driver requiring medical

intervention will only be allowed to continue racing with the

medical director’s permission, and in both instances will

restart from the back of the grid.

6/All karts involved in a serious incident must be re-

inspected by the scrutineers before allowed back on circuit.

7/Starts are to be 2×2 formations with a rolling lap speed of

10-20mph. Drivers are permitted to regain their place on the

rolling lap up to the yellow flag at post 5.The CoC has the

option to change to standing starts if deemed necessary.

Gearbox will be staggered standing starts.

The race start will be as C.I.K (as lights go out the race

starts). If the correct pace/speed is not obtained by 2

rolling laps the offending drivers will be issued a 5 second

penaltyALL KARTS MUST BE IN THE TRAMLINES WHEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT.ANY

ONE OUT OF THE TRAMLINES WILL GET A PENALTY of 3 SECONDS FOR 2

WHEELS OUT OF TRAM LINES AND 5 SECONDS FOR ALL 4 WHEELS OUT.

THE STARTER AND TIME KEEPER WILL BE JUDGE OF FACT (non-

Appealable)

8/ All drivers must obey mechanical flags given within 2 laps.

The driver and one mechanic can carry out the repair in the

designated area and return to the race at the discretion of

the scrutineer. Failure to return to parc ferme will result in

an exclusion from that race. Do not exit parc ferme if you

intend to repair and re-enter the race via the run through

lane.

9/ Running engines are only allowed in the permitted area for

a max of 10 seconds, Bambinos can be run up to 1 minute. You

may start your engine in your own pit area but not allowed to

rev the engine also engines must not be run whilst moving a

kart through the paddock, failure to comply may result in

exclusion from the meeting. No persons may be transported in

the kart on a trolley through the paddock.

NO ENGINES TO BE STARTED OR RUN BEFORE 08.45

Karts

1/All karts must comply to the class rules and regulations set

by the Stake-holders for that class at all times on race days.

2/It is the responsibility of the driver and mechanic to

ensure the kart remains in a safe race worthy condition for

the duration of the meeting .If in any doubt please ask for it

to be re-inspected at scrutineering.

3/ If a wet meeting is declared only karts fitted with wet

tyres and comply with class regulations, as listed for that

class with a minimum 2mm tread depth may start the race.

If an open meeting is declared the driver has the choice to

use either slicks or wet tyres as specified in the class

regulations. (Please be aware of the regulations relating to

the various Euro plastic bumpers).

4/ Weights must be secured by 2 fixings e.g. 8mm nuts and

bolts, tie wraps are not acceptable maximum 4kg per 2

fittings. ANYONE carrying “Lead” on their person will be

excluded from that race. All tyres, bodywork and engines

should be checked after each heat for damage and security.5/Timing is by AMB transponder. It is the driver’s

responsibility to have one fitted. There is a limited amount

to hire at £15.00.a driver’s licence or valid bank card may be

required as deposit. If you break, lose or misplace a

transponder you will be required to pay for a new one. All

transponders MUST be mounted on the back of the seat and be

fitted for warm up on race day. This is particularly important

prior to TQ to ensure your transponder is working for you to

record a time. A non-working transponder during TQ will mean

no time recorded and a start from the back of the grid in the

first heat.

6/On returning to parc ferme Karts may be randomly inspected

by the scrutineer to ensure compliance with the rules and

regulations.

7/Tyres must be of the make and type stipulated by the class

rules. Tyres will be marked or bar coded on scrutineering

card. A change of tyre prompted by tyre failure must be

approved by the chief scrutineer and the damaged tyre left in

scrutineering until the end of the meeting. Any use of tyre

softener or any means known or unknown to gain an unfair

advantage from tyres will result in an exclusion from the

event. Race tyres must be fitted for TQ/1st heat. Tyres are

open for warm up.

8/Only pump fuel and oil listed by C.I.K. is permitted. Anyone

using any unlisted oil must have it cleared by the scrutineer.

Failure to do so will result in an exclusion from the event

and a possible ban. Fuel testing may be carried out.

9/New style adjustable rear plastic bumpers must comply with

the regulation set out for this type of bumper.

10/If we have a class that your outfit is eligible for, you

must race in that class.

Engines

1/All engines /Karts will run to the specifications as

supplied by the following Rotax, IAME, TKM and Honda. Any

exceptions will be published in the class rules.

2/Mr Gary Walker is the engine eligibility scrutineer for all

classes.

3/The organisers have the right to have an engine sealed and

sent away to be checked for eligibility. If the engine provesto be legal then all cost will be paid by the organisers. If

the engine proves to be illegal then all cost including

carriage will be the responsibility of the competitor.

4/Competitors have the right to protest another competitor’s

engine. £450.00 must be deposited with the organisers. This

is returnable in full should the protest be successful .If the

protest fails this fee will be used towards the rebuild labour

cost and carriage, with any balance returned.

You have the right to appeal a scrutineer’s decision with

regards to engines and components. £450.00 will be required to

be deposited with the organisers, where upon an independent

body will review. Should the appeal be successful the money

will be returned.

5/ Series organisers have the right to ask you to fit

controlled parts supplied by recognised suppliers, failure to

comply without just cause may result in exclusion from the

meeting.

OFFICIALS

1/The safeguarding officer is Julie Thornsby, and can be

contacted in race control. The club’s safeguarding and social

media policies can be found on the website.

On Track

1/ The Clerk of the Course decision will be final.

2/Time keeper/ starter will be judge of fact regarding starts,

finishes and speeding under quarter flags.

3/ Driving in a manor not deemed to be of a safe, acceptable

or in the spirit of the sport may result in a ban with the

competitor required to appear in front of the organisers.

4/ The Clerk can exclude a driver from the heat/final or the

meeting. Should the Clerk consider further action be required

this will be reported to the Directors of the club and the

driver will be notified within 10 days of the action taken and

will then have 10 days to appeal in writing.

Conduct1/Officials are volunteers; please remember the meetings

cannot run without them so please show respect.

2/Foul and abusive language, physical violence, threat of

physical violence, intentional damage to any club or personal

property will result in a ban with the competitor required to

appear in front of the organisers. All local clubs will be

informed of a guilty verdict

3/Dishonoured payment, the competitor must make good plus any

charges incurred by the following meeting. Failure to do so

the organisers reserve the rights to inform all local clubs.

Supplementary Rules

1/Drop down bumpers will be introduced for all classes except

the open class, bambino and all gearbox classes. The following

penalties will apply. Drop down bumper, 5 second penalty. (NO

APPEAL) In TQ the above penalty will be applied to your

fastest lap.2/Gaining an unfair advantage:- 5 place penalty.

2A/ Advantage by CONTACT, 1 place, 5 second or 10 second

penalty.

3/Driving in a manner incompatible with general safety:-

Race exclusion

4/Aggravated Contact:-Exclusion from meeting. May be called In

front of the organisers with possible ban and other IKR tracks

informed.

5/ It is the drivers responsibility to observe flags at all

time. This particularly applies to start line flags specific

to drivers. Ducking down, missing flags when passing the start

line is not accepted as an excuse for ignoring flags. Ignoring

any flag twice:-Black Flag

Ignoring Black Flag for 2 consecutive laps ::- Exclusion from

meeting

6/DRIVERS BRIEFING IS MANDATORY for ALL DRIVERS & SIGNED ON

PARENTS/GUARDIANS. Failure to attend drivers briefing (Random

Names will be called) Competitors will be put to the back of

the grid for their first heat. No Appeal. Special instructions

may be issued on the day over-ruling any of the above and will

be posted on the official notice board which can be found in

race control.

7/Engines may be started but not revved in your pit bay.

Please do not start engines in front of race control.

8/Officals have the rights to give and rescind penalties upon

evidence gathered from official sources. PLEASE RESPECT THE

OFFICALS DECISIONS WHICH ARE MADE WITH SAFETY AND FAIR RACING

IN MIND.

Novices

Any competitor displaying novice plates will start from the

back of the grid for their heats. For the final will grid

where they qualify from points gained in heats but can request

to start from the back. Please inform the Comp Sec by lunch

time if this is your intention.

SUPPLIMENTARY REGULATIONS FOR EAST OF ENGLAND CUP

To qualify for the E Plate drivers must have participated in

at least 2 previous meetings in 2025 in the class you intend

to race in for this event. The meeting is a two day event so

there will be no discount. Drivers who miss TQ and heat one on

the Saturday will only be allowed to use tyres that were

scrutineered and raced in previous FSS meeting by the same

driver. Only one set of tyres are permitted from TQ onwards.

Further regulations will be issued prior to the July meeting.

AWNINGS & PIT BAY’S

It is your responsibility to keep and leave your pit bay in a

safe and clean condition failure to do so may result in a 1

meeting ban.

BAMBINO RULES AS PER BAMBINO KART CLUB

Comer C50 Bambino (With Permission Of Darren Beavers)

1.1 The Bambino class is the entry level class of Kart racing meaning

drivers can compete from 5.5 years old. These rules and regulations

should help you understand the Bambino classes before entering into

your first race. Full class, chassis & engine regulations for all the

BKC classes mirror those of the UK governing body unless specially

stated below, these class regulations regarding engines and chassis

should be read thoroughly. If in any doubt an official email with

queries should be raised.

Age 6-8yrs.If the driver has attended Rookie and passed to advanced

standard the age is reduced to 5.5 years.

1.2 Chassis

All chassis’ must be recognised and registered with the UK governing body,

no homemade chassis are permitted. Chassis may be fitted with a barcode

sticker in scrutineering for identification purposes.

1.3 Added Requirements

1.3.1 Bodywork: As registered with the chassis, full width rear bumpers

mandatory. Plastic alternative may be used if registered with chassis. Rear

bumpers must not be wider than overall wheel width. Full size rear number

boards only to be used( no cut down plates) unless plastic rear bumper is

registered and fitted to chassis where a stick-on type number can be

applied to the rear bumper.

1.3.1.1. Front top loop must be tight but can have rubber washers between

chassis mount and loop.

1.3.2 Brakes: As registered with chassis, steel discs non vented only (can

be cross drilled and grooved).

1.3.3 Steering: Stub axles: no modification whatsoever permitted, only

standard as manufactured can be used.

Steering wheel: free. If mounting data acquisition equipment must be

mounted in line with the dish of the wheel. All columns to be fitted with a

security ring located below the top column mount and secured with a minimum

of two locked grub screws. Caster/Camber adjustment is NOT PERMITTED on

Comer C50.

1.3.4 Axle: As registered with the chassis. 25mm magnetic steel. Must have

circlips fitted on both ends. Axle to be fitted with two bearings

containing steel ball races…. Ceramic or exotic material bearing faces arestrictly prohibited. Bearings to be tightened to axle, multipoint locating

grub screws. Quick release bearing carriers prohibited. Solid, 5mm & 3mm

hollow axles are permitted but only if registered with chassis.

1.3.5 Gearing: Comer C50 is only permitted to run 10t front sprocket & 80t

rear sprocket.

1.3.6 Dimensions: The rear bumper must not exceed the overall width

measured to the outside edge of the rear tyres & the side pods may not be

located outside the plane that passes through the outer edge of the rear

tyres.

The maximum overall width at the rear is 1100mm.

1.3.7 Chain/Sprocket Guard: One piece chain with sprockets of 219 pitch

only. A fully enclosed chain guard or a type manufactured by Tillet or

similar.

1.3.8 Wheels: Fronts: Aluminium, single point mounting direct to stub axle.

3 point fixing front hubs permitted.

Offset: Open.

Rears: Aluminium, 3 point fixing to standard short hub. No double bolt rear

hubs offset. Standard wheels sizes are free.

1.3.9 Tyres: (Filled with standard air only) _ Comer C50 class Le-Cont all

weather MSA04

The use of tyre warmers and softener is prohibited. Removal of Debris or

tyre cleaning with hot air gun or rasp is Strictly Prohibited.

1.3.10 Floor Tray: Aluminium, original manufacturer or professional

manufactured aftermarket component may be used fitted using manufacturer

approved fitting kit and must always be tight. CARBON FIBRE trays are not

permitted.

1.3.11 Seat: Free: Must be free of holes in a position to weaken the

mounting. Must have one large washer min 25mm at each mounting point to

ensure the load is spread. Seat must always be tight. Additional seat stays

and supports are not permitted.

1.3.12 Weight: Minimum 71kg post-race including the driver and mandatory

safety equipment

1.3.13 Number plates: Numbers to be displayed on all four sides. Black on

Orange back ground. Full size number plates to be fitted the rear.NO CUT

DOWN PLATES.

1.3.14 Materials: Karts and Components to be of material as per factory or

similar the use of aftermarket components such as rear hubs carriers, track

rods are permitted if to manufacturer’s specification.

Carbon fibre, Ceramic, Titanium, Magnesium & Kevlar components are

prohibitedModification to chassis in any way by the addition of welded components not

of the original approval is not permitted.

1.3.15 Other: The addition of pedal extensions, heal cups or approved pedal

box is permitted subject to scrutineering deeming it is fit for purpose.

ENGINE:

1.4 The following are requirements/modification to the fiche that must be

implemented to run in THE FULBECK SPRINT SERIES FOR 2022.

1.4.1 General: Only 2 engines are allowed per meeting. These must be

recorded on your scrutineering card. Engines and components may be sealed

at any point. The use of controlled restrictors supplied by Zip Karts may

be implemented once fitted these can be tampered within any way, the

scrutineers may choose to fit special bolts to enable seals to be fitted at

any time . Any controlled component must be returned in good condition at

the end of the meeting.

1.4.2 Comer C50 engine specification :-

Only Tagged Zip kart regulation UK or GB Comer C50 engines permitted.

Engines must always comply with the governing bodies regulations/fiche.

Carburettor jetting is open.

Plugs Champion RCJ7Y, Bosch WS5F ,NGK BPMR7A (NO BOSCH GREEN PLUGS

PERMITTED)the standard washer must be present and fully intact unless using

a under plug temp probe.

One foam air cleaner of standard specification is to be present at all

times and must be kept clean and dry used in its intended form. No holes or

tears. The metal clip that holds the air box onto the carb must always be

present. In the event of a wet race the sponge may be replaced for every

heat/final. The approved Zip kart wet box may run if the meeting is

declared wet or open.

1.4.3 Clutch:C50 approved spring or solid one-piece clutch approved by Zip

Kart is permitted.

1.5 Comer C50G: To comply with Euro Environmental Regulations a new

specification engine will be available called C50 Green(C50G) identified by

a green cylinder and crankcase seals and new parts in the UK homologation

fiche. The C50G package of cylinder, piston, crankshaft and exhaust can be

fitted to existing C50 engines. All 4 C50G components must be used with the

exception that the C50G exhaust may be fitted to the C50 on its own.C50

crankcase must be fitted with a minimum 1.00mm base gasket.C50G crankshaft

base gaskets are free.C50G engine identified by green seals cannot be

fitted with C50 spec cylinder ,piston, crankshaft and exhaust.

1.5.1 Timing: C50 & C50G engine must comply to a maximum ignition timing of

4.9mm before top dead centre measured with a DTI gauge. See homologation

fiche for measurement alignment point. The fly wheel key can be modified to

achieve maximum timing.CLASS REGULATIONS IAME BAMBINO

2.2: CHASSIS; All chassis must be recognised and registered with the UK

2.3: Additional requirements

2.3.1 Bodywork: As registered with the chassis, full width rear bumpers

mandatory. Plastic alternative may be used if registered with chassis. Rear

bumpers must not be wider that overall wheel width. Full size rear number

boards only to be used (no cut down plates)unless plastic rear bumper is

registered and fitted to chassis where a stick-on type number can be

applied to the rear bumper. It is permitted for a cadet style flat fronted

nose cone to be fitted to a bambino chassis if approved by the BKC on

safety grounds providing the part is specific to manufacturers usual

registered bodywork, e.g KG with KG, OTK with OTK etc. The nose cone must

be securely fastened using the specified clips/fasteners, the use of a drop

down block is not permitted.

2.3.2. Brakes: As registered with chassis, steel discs non vented only (can

be cross drilled and grooved)

2.3.3: Steering: Stub axles: no modification whatsoever permitted, only

standard as manufactured can be used. Steering wheel: free. If mounting

data acquisition equipment must be mounted in line with the dish of the

wheel. All columns to be fitted with a security ring located below the top

column mount and secured with a minimum of two locked grub screws.

Castor/camber adjustment is permitted to the front axle by the addition of

top pills only.

2.3.4 Axle: As registered with the chassis. 25 mm magnetic steel. Must have

circlips fitted on both ends. Axle to be fitted with two bearings

containing steel ball races. Ceramic or exotic material bearing face are

strictly prohibited.

Bearings to be tightened to axle, multipoint locating grub screws. Quick

release bearing carriers are prohibited. Solid 5mm & 3mm thick hollow axles

are permitted but only if registered with chassis.

2.3.5 Gearing;

Iame gearing as per track regulations, no teeth to be added or removed from

sprockets.

FULBECK Iame M1 using 11t clutch drum 11-79/80/81 only.

FULBECK Iame M1 using 10t clutch drum 10-73/74/75 only.Iame M1 to run gearing stated by club only, rear sprocket must match front

clutch drum as stated above.

2.3.6 Dimensions: The rear bumper must not exceed the overall width

measured to the outside edge of the rear tyres, and the side pods may not

be located outside the plane that passes through the outer edge of the rear

tyres.

The maximum overall width at the rear is 1100mm.

2.3.7 Chain/Sprocket Guard: One piece chain with sprockets of 219 pitch

only. A fully enclosed chain guard, of a type manufactured by Tillet or

similar.

2.3.8 Wheels: Fronts: Aluminium, single point mounting direct to stub axle.

3 point fixing front hubs permitted.

Offset: open.

Rears; Aluminium, 3 point fixing to standard short hub. No double bolt rear

hubs Offset: Standard. Wheel sizes are: free.

2.3.9 Tyres: (Filled with standard air only). Heidenau T-Race Green Slick

tyre and Heidenau WH1 Wet tyre. The use of tyre warmers and softener is

prohibited. Removal of Debris or tyre cleaning with a hot air gun or rasp

is strictly prohibited at all times once racing has started.

2.3.10 Floor Tray: Aluminium, original manufacturer component fitted using

manufacturer approved fitting kit and to be always tight. After market

professionally manufactured aluminium floor trays allowed but NO carbon

trays permitted.

2.3.11 Seat: Free: Must be free of holes in a position to weaken the

mounting. Fitted with a Tillet or similar fitting kit one large washer per

hole minimum , to ensure load spread. Seat must be tightly always secured.

2.3.12 Weight: minimum 78kg postrace including driver and all race gear.

2.3.13 Number Plates: Numbers to be displayed on all four sides of the kart

Black on Green background to an agreed font/pattern, numbers can be

purchased from the BKC in the approved format. Full size number plates on

rear to be fitted, no cut down plates.

2.3.14 Materials: Kart and components to be of material ‘as left the

factory’ or similar, the use of aftermarket components such as rear hubs,

carriers, track rods are permitted if are of manufacturers specification.

Carbon Fibre, Ceramic, Titanium, Magnesium and Kevlar components are

prohibited. Modification to chassis in any way by the addition of welded

components not of the original approval is not permitted. Additional seat

stays and supports are not permitted.

2.315 Other: The addition od pedal extensions, heal cups or a BLC approved

pedal box is permitted subject to secure fitment and scrutineering deeming

it fit for purpose. Modification to tubing, seat stay, yokes and all

mounting points is strictly prohibited.2.4 Engine: Always regularly check the class engine fiche for updates.

The following are requirements/modifications to the fiche that must be

implemented to run in the BKC for 2022

2.4.1 Only 2 engines are allowed per meeting, these must be recorded on

your scrutineering card, engines and components may be sealed at any point,

the use of controlled restrictors may be implemented and once fitted these

cannot be tampered with in any way, the scrutineer may choose to fit

special bolts to enable seals to be fitted at any time. Any controlled

components given MUST be returned in good condition after the meeting

before championship points will be awarded.

2.4.2 Iame M1 BAMBINO ENGINE SPECIFICATION;

The engine carburettor must always operate in its unadulterated form and

conform to the JM Engineering fiche and any BKC updates available here.

2.4.3 Engine numbers and crank: only engine numbers prefixed S6,T6,V6,Z6

and O6 are permitted. Only crack shafts from batch number E31 forward are

permitted.

2.4.4 Squish: 2mm minimum. Base gaskets and shim combinations can be used

to achieve the desired squish but a combination of no more than two paper

gaskets and three metal shims permitted. Squish is measured using 3.175 mm

solder.

2.4.5 Spark Plugs: Only NGK BR8EG, BR9EG, & BR10EG are permitted.

These must carry the original factory washer unless using an under-plug

temperature lead of the same thickness, in which case it may be discarded.

The scrutineer will have the final say on what under-plug temp. leads are

permitted or not.

2.4.6 Exhaust System: System and joint to be leak free in its entirety.

Signs of leakage around the restrictor/fixing area or welds will be deemed

a performance enhancement, it is the competitors responsibility to ensure

exhaust bolts are always tight. Only one exhaust gasket front and back of

the restrictor is permitted. Exhaust restrictor is to be no more than

13.5mm max and must be of genuine stamped and marked Iame specification,

the club reserves the right to provide pooled restrictors at any event they

feel necessary. If a pooled restrictor is issued this CANNOT be modified in

any way shape or form, the cleaning or tampering with pooled restrictors is

prohibited and could result in an exclusion from a race or the meeting.

2.4.7 Clutch: The internal components and running surface both the clutch

and drum must remain dry and free of grease and lubricant and any

additional substance. It is advised to run the standard rubber O ring

washer behind the clutch drum although not essential, care should be taken

at all times to ensure the clutch bearing is not being over lubricated to

ensure running surface remains dry and free of any substances at all times.2.4.8 Fuel System; One inline fuel filter is permitted of a sealed

renewable type or plastic Tillotson two piece reusable filter.

2.4.9 Oil: Only silkolene Pro KR2 oil is permitted.

2.4.10 Data: The collection of engine data is permitted through means of a

mychron/alfano or similar, and under-plug exhaust temp probe is allowed in

all classes but exhaust temp or EGT/CHT is not permitted. Minimum thickness

for temp probe washer under-plug is 1.4mm unless confirmed ok by the

scrutineer.

2.4.11Wet weather running; it is permissible when racing/operating in wet

or open meeting conditions only, declared wet or open for BKC approved wet

box to be fitted. This is the only form of wet box permitted and must be

installed as per instructions in a way as to prevent water ingestion to the

motor and not limit air flow and cooling to the engine. Further to the

approved wet box a flat plastic plate may be applied to the 2 chassis rails

directly under the carburettor only and must not be greater than

22cmx22cmx0.5cm.

2.4.12 Replacement Parts: Any replacement parts required in the service and

repair of the motor must be original manufacture components or IAME UK

approved. No pattern or other components accepted.

2.4.13 Cleaning of Components; Cleaning components such as exhaust

restrictor must only be done using a nonabrasive cloth as specified by IAME

U.K. The cleaning of BKC controlled exhaust restrictor is prohibited.

2.4.14 Stock Class; Any modification to engine and carburettor beyond the

scope of IAME UK fiche or this document is forbidden. Strictly no

modification, adding or removing materials, tuning, porting, polishing,

surface coating, painting, skimming, trimming, grinding or shielding fro

whatever purpose is permitted.
